Jacuzzi Tubs

Say the name Jacuzzi and you may imagine warm streams of water caressing and massaging your entire body. For more than 100 years, the Jacuzzi family has been creating products aimed at improving the quality of our life! Originally a product of creative Italian brothers intent on designing products like the first monoplane, the jacuzzi turned into a family fortune that now sells the world’s most popular spa line.

The Jacuzzi Story - All in the Family
As the story goes, in the 1900s, the brothers wanted to help family members with arthritis problems, so they designed a portable "hydrotherapy pump" – a pump that increased water pressure from small massaging jets.

In the 1960s, the business was passed on to Roy Jacuzzi who then single- handedly made a family fortune. He started marketing and selling the first Jacuzzi tub using the same jet system that was invented by his father and uncles.

Today, everyone knows the name Jacuzzi. Jacuzzi is even used interchangeably with the words "hot tub" and "spa" – an earmark of Roy's entrepreneurial success.

There is, however, a difference between the Jacuzzi tub and the hot tub: the hot tub is made mainly for releasing muscle tension by soaking. The spa takes this practice one step further; it has jets that offer a massage to the muscles.

Purchasing A Jacuzzi
If you are looking for a very relaxing experience, look no further than a Jacuzzi tub. Jacuzzi tubs come in many shapes, styles and sizes; some have advanced and specific jet systems to offer maximum comfort, while others feature built-in TVs for ultimate luxury. Whatever your choice, the Jacuzzi tub is second to none.

But these days, Jacuzzi does not only produce quality baths. Jacuzzi-brand products now range from showers and toilets to sinks and basins. From Jacuzzi tubs to Jacuzzi sinks, it's worthwhile investigating the Jacuzzi product line. As the Jacuzzi tub has proven over the years, the name alone ensures professional quality.

Here are some helpful hints to make your Jacuzzi hot tub purchase hassle free.

Placement
Your Jacuzzi hot tub should be placed on a solid level surface wood decks and concrete pad are very popular. If this is not an option, try laying down some gravel; this may guarantee a level surface, but it isn’t that nice for entry and exit.

Maintenance
You will actually spend very little time maintaining your Jacuzzi hot tub.

Daily Cost
The daily cost of running your Jacuzzi depends on what kind you have but often it will be between a quarter and a dollar a day. Cheaper than coffee!

Pillow Talk
Many folks want to be able to take their relaxation to the next level in their Jacuzzi, and rightly so. This often means having some sort of pillow. Although this may sound like a great idea, use it at your own risk. Jacuzzi hot tub pillows are available but they rarely stand up to the heat and motion of the Jacuzzi. You may find yourself doing a lot of pillow replacing.

Horse-Powered Pleasure
If someone tries to sell you a Jacuzzi based on its horsepower, he has no respect for you and you should walk away. Jacuzzi hot tub performance is measured in GPM (gallons per minute). This is what really gets the Jacuzzi flowing. You could have the strongest motor in the world, but if it doesn’t have a lot of water to pump, you are just wasting gas.

Max Temp
The maximum temperature for a Jacuzzi hot tub is 104 degrees F but some people prefer to increase the temperature to 107 degrees F - just make sure everyone in the tub is aware of the temperature as it could cause some of your guests to feel dizzy if they are soaking for a prolonged period of time.
